The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday, February 15, published a video of armored vehicles loading units of the Southern and Western Military districts returning to their locations after the exercises.
Several videos show footage of the movement of a column of tanks, as well as how other types of tracked military equipment drive up to railway platforms and are loaded onto them.
"As soon as the combat training activities are completed, the troops, as always, will make marches in a combined way to the points of permanent deployment. The units of the Southern and Western Military Districts that have completed the tasks have already begun loading onto rail and road transport and will begin moving to their military garrisons today. Individual units will make marches on their own as part of military columns, " said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin held meetings with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Shoigu reported on the progress of military exercises of the Russian army in different military districts. According to him, the exercises are held "in almost all fleets, in the Barents, Black, Baltic Seas." The Defense Minister noted that part of the exercises will be completed soon.
Lavrov said that, in his opinion, the possibilities of negotiations between Russia and the West on the issue of providing security guarantees are "far from exhausted" and there is a chance of reaching an agreement between the parties.
On February 10, Russia and Belarus launched the joint exercises "Allied Resolve - 2022", aimed at testing the reaction forces of the Union State. The maneuvers take place at combined-arms training grounds in Belarus. The exercises are arranged for high-quality testing of tasks "to suppress and repel external aggression during a defensive operation, as well as to counter terrorism and protect the interests of the Union State."
On February 12, Russia and Belarus held joint artillery exercises. Consolidated divisions of gunners, as part of maneuvers during the tactical episode, struck at the positions of the conditional enemy. The exercises were held at the Osipovichsky training ground in the Mogilev region of Belarus. The military also trained the change of combat positions.
