Kiev. The 14th of February. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - There are no grounds for the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, which, among other things, would entail the regulation of the work of journalists and the functioning of the information space as a whole, said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov.
"I am sure that there are absolutely no grounds for introducing a special legal regime today. Just for the sake of regulating or normalizing the media space - in no case can this be done. We live in a democratic country, and we are learning to pass such tests," Reznikov said in the program "Freedom of Speech" on the ICTV channel, answering the question whether to expect decisions of the authorities regarding the introduction of martial law in Ukraine and the corresponding regulation of the functioning of the information space.
According to the Defense Minister, he is confident that "Ukrainians will calmly survive this crisis."
