Kiev. The 14th of February. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov held a conversation with the Ambassador of Belarus to Ukraine Igor Sokol, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the countries in the fields of security and defense.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Reznikov, in particular, informed the Belarusian side about the planned exercises of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which take place at training grounds throughout Ukraine and are of a defensive nature.
"We informed our Belarusian colleagues about our actions. It is important that they understand the logic of our work. And so that there is no groundless tension in relations between our states and peoples," Reznikov said.
Earlier on Monday, Reznikov had a telephone conversation with Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin.
