The Taliban movement controlling Afghanistan (banned in the Russian Federation) sends 10,000 militants armed with modern weapons and equipment to the provinces bordering Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
This was stated by the chief of the General Staff of the armed forces of the Taliban, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat.
"A 10,000-strong army armed with the most modern equipment of the NATO and US system, stationed in the northern and northeastern provinces of the country, will take measures against any armed action," Fitrat said on Twitter.
"In the shortest possible time, combat aircraft will be ready and will support this powerful force," the Taliban spokesman added.
Interfax writes that the northern province of Afghanistan, Balkh, borders Uzbekistan, the northeastern provinces, Kunduz, Takhar and Badakhshan - with Tajikistan.
