Kabul. February 14. INTERFAX - The Taliban movement controlling Afghanistan (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) is sending 10,000 militants armed with modern weapons and equipment to the provinces bordering Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the chief of the general staff of the Taliban armed forces, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, said on Monday.
"A 10,000-strong army armed with the most modern equipment of the NATO and US system, stationed in the northern and northeastern provinces of the country, will take measures against any armed action," Fitrat said on Twitter.
"In the shortest possible time, combat aircraft will be ready and will support this powerful force," the Taliban spokesman added.
