Washington. February 13. INTERFAX - National Security Adviser to the US President Jake Sullivan claims that the US is making public intelligence data on the situation with Russia and Ukraine in order to prevent the outbreak of war.
"We are not releasing this intelligence information in order to start a war, as happened in the past. We will release this intelligence information to stop the war," he said on CNN.
He believes that such an approach deserves a higher level of trust as a result.
At the same time, he could not name the date of the "invasion" of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. "We cannot accurately predict the day, but we have been saying for some time that we are in the time interval when Russia's invasion, large-scale military actions in Ukraine can now begin any day," he said.
According to Sullivan, we can also talk about the coming week - before the end of the Olympics in Beijing. At the same time, he noted that according to the United States, Russia can still choose a diplomatic way to resolve the situation.
Sullivan also again called on Americans to leave Ukraine, since there would be no "military evacuation" in the event of an invasion by the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the United States is artificially inflating the situation in connection with the allegedly planned Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia does not understand why the Americans are transmitting deliberately false information about this to the media.
