The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has unveiled a new missile called the Heybar Shekan with a range of 1,450 kilometers.
The presentation ceremony of the Heybar-Shekan rocket took place in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri and the Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Forces, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
The ceremony coincided with nationwide celebrations on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
The new long-range, solid-fueled strategic missile belongs to the third generation of IRGC missiles and is unique in terms of weight and firing.
The weight of the Heybar Shekan rocket has been reduced by a third compared to similar ones, and its launch time has been reduced by six times.
The Heybar-Shekan missile also has high maneuverability in front of anti-missile systems, and exceptional maneuverability and speed of hitting targets at a distance of up to 1,450 km are among the other capabilities of this new long-range strategic missile.
This domestic system, from idea to product, was developed and built by specialists of the IRGC Air Force, IRNA reports.
