"Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation, and Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, signed a statement of intent on further cooperation in the field of space research for peaceful purposes following the visit of Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Moscow," the statement said.
As noted in Roscosmos, Russia and Hungary have been fruitfully cooperating in the field of peaceful space exploration for almost half a century.
"Over the past years, with the participation of various Hungarian and Russian research institutes, universities and companies, the technological and instrumental development of three Hungarian-Russian space research projects has begun," the press service said.
The most famous joint projects include the orbital microsatellite for studying the properties of lightning "Chibis-AI", the measurement complex "Situation-2", as well as the "Trabant System" studying the dynamics of space weather and ionosphere processes.
