The Collective Security Treaty Organization has announced a list of scientific events that are planned to be held this year in the Central Asian region.
The list of exercises was announced by the head of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov at a media briefing.
He noted that the joint training of management bodies and formations of forces and means of the collective security system, as in the past year, will be focused on the consideration of anti-terrorist topics.
It is planned to hold joint and special exercises on the territory of Kazakhstan, combining the training of various components of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
In particular, a special exercise with the forces and means of intelligence "Search-2022"; a special exercise with the forces and means of logistics "Echelon-2022"; a command and staff exercise "Interaction-2022" will be held at the Kazakhstan training grounds.
The latest maneuvers will be aimed at working out tasks on the use of forces and means of the CSTO collective security system in order to resolve the crisis situation in the Central Asian region.
"A joint exercise will be held on the territory of Tajikistan with the units of the Central Asian Security Council "Rubezh-2022" with the elaboration of tasks on the use of forces and means of the collective security system of the CSTO in the interests of countering international terrorist organizations," Sidorov added.
The final stage will be held in Kyrgyzstan. There they plan to hold a command and staff exercise with the Peacekeeping forces of the CSTO "Unbreakable Brotherhood-2022". During it, the tasks of post-conflict settlement in the crisis zone will be worked out by conducting a peacekeeping operation, Avesta news agency reports.
The Head of the CSTO Joint Staff noted that as part of improving information interaction in the format of the Organization, a complex of joint trainings of the Crisis Response Center with operational groups of bodies authorized in the states to interact with the Central Committee has been planned.
