This is a copy of the devices used by the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War
Moscow. February 10th. INTERFAX - Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant (refinery) together with the Italian company Aurora International has developed the design of a special kit with an optical sight, the press service of the Shvabe holding, which includes the refinery, reports.
"A special batch of civilian sights was created in Novosibirsk for the EU market. The set includes a PU3.5x22 sight with leather caps in a case - this is an exact copy of the PU sights used by soldiers of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War. Additionally, commemorative badges and patches, postcards and historical information in English, made in the style of the USSR of the 40s, were designed and manufactured," the message says.
According to the press service, the refinery produced 300 gift sets specially for the anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. On each sight there is a special plate with an engraving of an important date: 7/11/1941. On this day, when the front line was several dozen kilometers from the Soviet capital, a military parade was held on Red Square - to raise the morale of soldiers. Less than a month later, on December 5, the Red Army launched a counteroffensive, and on January 7 began to attack the invaders. The Battle of Moscow ended with the strategic victory of the USSR on April 20, 1942.
According to the General Director of the refinery Anton Klokov, the plant has been maintaining close cooperation with Aurora International for several years, including preparing limited product lines on request.
"These are collectible items - they are made for foreign users who are interested in the history of Russia. This company is among the most promising players in the European optical sights market. And thanks to our partnership, the plant's devices can be purchased almost all over Europe," said Klokov, quoted by the press service.
