Almaz-Antey showed a mobile version of the ROSC-1 drone protection complex
The concern of East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey demonstrated a mobile version of the ROSC-1 radar-optical complex within the framework of the National Exhibition of Civil Aviation Infrastructure NAIS-2022. The equipment of the complex, designed to protect objects from drones, was placed on the KAMAZ chassis. This is reported by TASS .
The concern demonstrated a model of the complex on the chassis of the car. The ROSC-1 equipment and the radar antenna with an automatic lift were placed in a container body. "Thus, it was possible to make the system mobile," the representative of the concern noted.
The container contains the place of the operator of the X-band radar station (radar) and radio-electronic equipment. Operators can also work with the complex remotely.
The ROSC-1 complex is designed to ensure the ornithological safety of airfields and combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The radar of the complex allows detecting targets at a distance of at least 15 kilometers, and the range of impact on unmanned vehicles is two kilometers. ROSC-1 received a thermal imager and all-round cameras. The complex provides protection against commercial drones and small UAVs of the RQ-11B Raven and RQ-7 Shadow class.
Earlier, Almaz-Antey announced the start of testing of the ROSC-1 complex with the Wolf-18 interceptor drone in real operating conditions. The drone can disable enemy vehicles.
