Kiev. February 6. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov assessed the likelihood of a significant escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as low, the press service of the country's military department reported.
"The probability of a significant escalation as of today continues to be assessed as low," the press service quotes Reznikov as saying.
According to him, the Ukrainian military calculates all possible scenarios and performs all necessary actions to neutralize threats.
Reznikov noted that active Russian-Belarusian military exercises will begin in a few days, which may last until February 20, but the Ukrainian side "is doing everything necessary to control similar situations."
The head of the Defense Ministry noted that Ukraine is acting in a planned and coordinated manner to exclude any provocations.
