Minsk. February 5. INTERFAX - Calculations of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) "Osa" work out the tasks of air defense during the inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State on the territory of Belarus on Saturday.
A video of the calculations was published in the telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
The calculations of the Osa air defense system, which previously made a march to a new positional area and took up combat duty, cover ground units, as well as military facilities from air strikes. In the course of performing combat training tasks, the calculations of the SAM reflect the raid of a conditional air enemy, perform electronic launches of anti-aircraft guided missiles.
Russia and Belarus are checking the reaction forces of the Union state. By February 9, it is planned to redeploy and create groups of troops, on February 10-20, the exercises "Allied Determination-2022" will be held. Almost all the armed forces of Belarus, as well as parts of the Eastern Military District, the VKS and the Airborne Forces of Russia will be involved in the exercises, head of the main directorate of combat training of the Belarusian army Andrei Nekrasevich said on January 21.
The exercises are taking place against the backdrop of a crisis in relations between Russia and NATO. The United States, other NATO countries and Ukraine announced the concentration of troops at the Ukrainian border and the threat of a Russian invasion. In December 2021, the chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov said that Russia has no aggressive plans.
