The Norwegian government has decided to appoint the current Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, to the post of head of the Central Bank after he leaves the post of head of the alliance.
This is stated in the message of the government of the kingdom.
"To appoint Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to the post of head of the Central Bank for a period of six years. He will take office from the date set by the Ministry of Finance," the message reads.
RIA Novosti notes that the Ministry of Finance considered that Stoltenberg is the most qualified candidate for this position.
