The state standard developed by the Academician M. F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems Company (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) has been approved in Russia.
The standard created by the Zheleznogorsk satellite builders is the first regulatory document in Russia, which presents a methodology for ensuring the resistance of spacecraft to the effects of man-made factors.
The document, which was based on Reshetnevtsev's long-term experience in ensuring the quality of space technology, received a positive expert opinion and was put into effect by order of Rosstandart. Previously, it passed all stages of approval with Roscosmos organizations and was accepted by the customer by the Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (TsNIIMash, part of Roscosmos).
GOST contains eight sections and the same number of applications. They describe the physical processes of the impact of man-made factors on the spacecraft, determine the list of satellite equipment critical to the impact of man-made factors, and present methods for modeling the impact of these factors, Roscosmos noted.
The new state standard will come into force on July 1, 2022. After that, it can be used at the enterprises of the rocket and space industry.
