MINSK, Feb 3 - RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he plans to purchase from Russia almost all military equipment participating in the Russian-Belarusian exercises.
The forces of the Union State are being tested on the territory of Belarus. At the first stage (until February 9), groups of troops will be relocated and created on the territory of Belarus. At the second stage (from February 10 to 20), joint Belarusian-Russian exercises "Allied Resolve-2022" will be held, within the framework of which issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State will be worked out.
"Everyone has noticed that we are relocating a lot of equipment from Russia to Belarus, including modern ones... It is very important for us that our military people not only see this equipment in the picture, but also, as they say, touch it. So that together with the Russians, their brothers, they learned how to use this technique. This is very important for us, because we plan to buy almost all the equipment that will be here from you this year, next year, and so on," Lukashenko said at a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. His words are quoted by the press service. According to him, this is important for Belarus and the Union State "due to the way both NATO and Ukraine behave, which aspires there."
