According to the portal defence24.pl, we are talking about 2000 AK-15 assault rifles for Bangladesh. New small arms are needed to replace outdated Chinese assault rifles that were released in Bangladesh under license. It is most likely that the AK-15 will become the main automatic weapon of the Bangladesh army, and therefore the volume of supplies will increase.
The AK-15 assault rifle is made in a caliber of 7.62 mm. The automatic has retained the traditional AK gas-discharge circuit of automation with locking the barrel by turning the shutter and can use magazines from previous models of the AK family. At the same time, the gas outlet assembly, gas tube, receiver and barrel have been significantly modified, which, according to the developers, provides the new model with increased accuracy when firing in all modes. In addition, these models are routinely equipped with Picatinny rails and a telescopic butt.
