TSAMTO, February 3. The Military Industrial Company has delivered a new batch of multipurpose armored vehicles "MIC-Ural" to one of the Middle Eastern countries, Alexander Krasovitsky, CEO of MIC LLC, told RIA Novosti.
The first export deliveries of MIC-Ural took place in 2020.
"We have signed a new contract with our Middle Eastern customer and already this year we have shipped him a new batch of our MIC-Ural armored cars. Thus, its fleet already has about 100 such cars," A.Krasovitsky said.
The interlocutor of the agency stressed that this time, specifically at the request of the customer, the car was executed in a new modification - "MIC-Ural pickup" with an armored five-seat four-door cab and a cargo body behind it, in which various loads weighing up to 2.5 tons can be transported.
The MIC-Ural Pickup truck weighing 14.5 tons is equipped with an imported turbodiesel developing 400 hp power and an automatic transmission. Due to the reduction in the size of the armored habitable compartment, it was possible to increase the level of ballistic protection to level 3 according to STANAG-4569, and mine protection to 8 kg in TNT equivalent, RIA Novosti notes.
