Donetsk. 1st of February. INTERFAX - Donetsk may turn to Russia for military assistance, said Eduard Basurin, a representative of the People's militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
"In case of continuation of these supplies (supplies of weapons by Western countries to Kiev - IF), we reserve the right to apply to the Russian Federation and other countries for military and military-technical assistance to us," Eduard Basurin, a representative of the DPR NM, told reporters on Tuesday.
He also added that Kiev is actively forming strike groups for offensive actions in the Donbass.

Since the second half of January, heavy transport aircraft of the United States and Britain have already made at least 15 flights to Ukraine for the supply of weapons and military equipment.
In particular, heavy military transport aircraft of the British Royal Air Force C-17A Globemaster III, departing from the Brize Norton Air Base in England, have made at least nine flights with weapons to Ukraine since January 17. For these purposes, four of all eight C-17A Globemaster III aircraft available in Britain were used. They, according to London, delivered portable NLAW anti-tank guided missiles to Kiev.
As for the United States, two flights were made to Ukraine by heavy military transport aircraft of the Air Force C-17A Globemaster III, one of which arrived in Kiev and the other in Lviv, as well as four Boeing-747 transport aircraft of National Airlines, which were chartered by the Transport Command (USTRANSCOM) for the transportation of weapons, in particular, portable Javelin anti-tank missile systems, and military equipment.
In addition, on January 20, a Ukrainian heavy transport aircraft An-124 arrived in Lviv from Huntsville (Alabama). The Redstone Arsenal of the US Army is located near Huntsville. The next day, the Ukrainian AN-124 arrived in Kiev from the Polish city of Rzeszow. Also on January 26, a flight of a Ukrainian AN-124 from the Bulgarian city of Burgas to Ukraine was recorded.
