MOSCOW, Feb 1 - RIA Novosti. The Kalashnikov Group of Companies has released a large batch of assault rifles for one of the customers in the Asia-Pacific region (APR), Kalashnikov told reporters.
"A large batch of assault rifles was produced in an accelerated mode at the site of JSC Kalashnikov Concern in the interests of a foreign customer from the Asia-Pacific countries under a contract concluded by JSC Rosoboronexport," the company said.
According to Kalashnikov, in 2021 the group increased the output of military export products by more than 70% compared to 2020. Kalashnikov's main export products include the 100th and 200th series assault rifles, the Ratnik series assault rifles, and various types of high-precision weapons.
According to the group's CEO Vladimir Lepin, military and civilian products under the Kalashnikov brand are currently supplied to a total of 27 countries around the world.
Last year, during the official visit of the President of the Russian Federation to India, a landmark contract was signed between the Ministry of Defense of India and the Russian-Indian joint venture Indo-Russia Rifles Private Limited for the supply of AK-203 assault rifles, which will be produced in India with the technical assistance of the Kalashnikov Group.
