Yuri Baluyevsky clarified that the prototype was tested at the landfill in Plesetsk

MOSCOW, January 31. /tass/. The former chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Yuri Baluyevsky, said on Monday that a prototype of hypersonic weapons was tested in Russia back in 2004.

"I draw your attention to 2018. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin's statement that Russia has weapons that our opponents do not have and are unlikely to have in the near future. I can even tell you the date, today it can already be said - February 2004. Your humble servant tested a prototype of this flying unit at the Plesetsk training ground, which is now called a hypersonic weapon," he said in an interview with RBC.
