The component base has already been determined, said Vadim Khromov, Deputy General Director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation for Corporate Construction and Investment
MOSCOW, January 31. /tass/. The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) is ready to launch the Condor-FKA-M satellite created by JSC MIC NPO Mashinostroeniya (part of KTRV) into mass production. This was announced in an interview with TASS on the 20th anniversary of the corporation by Vadim Khromov, Deputy General Director of KTRV for Corporate Construction and Investments.
"In my opinion, we have advanced further than all of those Russian manufacturers who stated that they are designing such small devices in Russia. We are not only announcing the start of work, the component base has already been determined, we understand that we are reaching almost one hundred percent import substitution of all their satellite components, and therefore guaranteed mass production," Khromov said.
Earlier, Alexander Leonov, General Director - General Designer of NPO Mashinostroeniya, said that "this is a really promising spacecraft with very high technical characteristics: higher resolution of the received radar information, a wider shooting band, as well as better information content of the radar signal."
It is expected that the device will receive a hybrid mirror antenna with an AFAR-irradiator (active phased array antenna), in fact, one hundred percent domestic electronic component base. As a result, the device will be able to provide significantly higher resolution of the received radar information, a wider shooting band, and providing better information content of the radar signal.
