MOSCOW, January 31. /tass/. Units of the Eastern Military District (VVO) have begun deploying mobile field control points at landfills in Belarus as part of an inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
"The units of the Eastern Military District, relocated to the Republic of Belarus as part of the verification of the reaction forces of the Union State, have begun deploying mobile field control points at the landfills. Specialists of the communications troops have organized a unified command and control system," the message says.
The control system includes the control points of the involved units located at the landfills. "All links of the control system are provided with secure radio communication and wired channels. Video conferencing functions at all control points, which allows commanders of different degrees to transmit control signals in real time. Engineering works have been carried out to place control points on the ground, camouflage measures are being carried out," the Russian military department noted.

The verification of the reaction forces of the Union State will take place in two stages. At the first stage - until February 9 - the redeployment and creation of groups of troops on the territory of Belarus will be carried out as soon as possible, the protection and defense of important state and military facilities, the protection of the state border in the airspace will be organized. There will also be a check of the readiness and ability of the forces and means on duty for air defense to perform tasks to cover important objects on the territory of the republic. During the second stage of the inspection, a joint exercise "Allied Resolve - 2022" will be held from February 10 to 20, within the framework of which issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State will be worked out. According to the Ministry of Defense, during the exercises, measures will be taken to strengthen the protection of the state border to prevent the penetration of armed groups of militants, to block the channels of delivery of weapons and ammunition, as well as to search, block, destroy illegal armed formations and sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy. The practical actions of the troops will take place at the Domanovsky, Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brest and Osipovichi ranges and the airfields of Baranovichi, Luninets, Lida and Machulishchi.
