Moscow. January 29. INTERFAX - The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on Saturday evening on the anti-Russian plot of the Swiss TV channel SRF "Russia is pulling its troops to the border with Ukraine," assessing it as "another horror story for an ignorant audience."
"The hype in the Western media around Russian-Ukrainian relations has reached a boiling point - or, better to say, the extreme stage of insanity. The materials are more absurd than each other, but the Swiss broadcasting company SRF has surpassed all of them," the Foreign Ministry said in a comment posted on its website.
"Russia is transferring huge forces to the border with Ukraine," the journalist says. - "Military equipment, including tanks, was brought thousands of kilometers from Siberia." At the same time, as an illustration, a cut from the working out of training tasks at landfills by units of the combined arms association of the Southern Military District is given, they note on Smolenskaya Square.
"Making such loud, frightening statements to the Western viewer, the journalist apparently still has in mind preparations for the defensive Russian-Belarusian exercises "Allied Resolve-2022", in which units of the Eastern Military District take part, the Russian Foreign Ministry comments.
"We heard the ringing, but we didn't understand where he was. But they hurried to rivet another horror story for an ignorant audience, which has been fed with such fakes for years," the foreign ministry noted.
Noting the lack of professionalism of Swiss TV crews, the Russian Foreign Ministry advised to contact the Russian Defense Ministry. "They will teach you how to use the map there, and they will introduce you to the texture. They will tell you what a test of defense potential is," the commentary emphasizes.
"I would like to advise Mr. (David) Nauer (SRF correspondent in Russia - IF) finally get out of his shell, discover the vastness of the Internet and go to kremlin.ru . The President of Russia has repeatedly, in detail and patiently (for such "journalists") talked about our principled positions," the Foreign Ministry informs.
