In December last year, the Commissioner for Civil Rights of Poland visited several dozen posts on the Polish-Belarusian border in the Podlaskie Voivodeship near the settlements of Bialowieza, Dubich-Cerkevny, Cheremkha (Polovtse), Melnik. After that, a report was prepared with shocking conclusions.
The document shows that the Polish military serve on the street for 8 to 12 hours and do not have enough warm clothes. Some are not provided with winter shoes, and there are also not enough rubber boots of small sizes for female servicemen.
According to the report of the Commissioner for Civil Rights, in conditions of severe frosts, the Polish military is saved from hypothermia only by multi-layered clothing from their personal wardrobe, which is a violation of the rules of wearing military uniforms.
The document describes that the military "due to low temperatures are constructing improvised shelters heated by bourgeois."
According to Captain L. Vilchevsky from the 1st Podlaskie Territorial Defense Brigade, heaters for hands and feet were received from one of the companies as a donation. Wherever possible, military personnel are heated by bonfires.

It is reported that the servicemen of the Polish Army stationed on the Polish-Belarusian border demand to provide them with winter shoes and down jackets, the same as those of the special operations forces.
The Polish Ministry of National Defense does not comment on the revealed problems.
