Roscosmos considers Cuba, Svalbard and Bellingshausen station in Antarctica as locations for tracking stations of the warning system about dangerous situations in orbit, follows from the data of the public procurement portal.
The portal has published a state contract for "Modernization and development of a complex of specialized optical-electronic means for monitoring near-Earth space".
As noted in the text of the contract, Interfax writes, the contractor - the Precision Instrument Engineering Systems Research and Production Corporation - will have to conduct modeling of "various options for an expanded composition of monitoring tools used in the interests of an automated warning system for dangerous situations in near-Earth outer space."
According to the document, "the area of Ussuriysk, the area of Blagoveshchensk, the area of Mondy, Maidanak (Uzbekistan), Sangloh (Tajikistan), the area of Byurakan (Armenia), the area of Kislovodsk, the area of Nauchny, Mexico, Cuba, Indonesia, Madagascar, Ecuador, Svalbard, Bellingshausen station (Antarctica), Ethiopia, Vietnam, Cape Verde, Kiribati, Brazil, Argentina, Chile" should be considered as possible deployment areas.
