The North Atlantic Alliance is not going to deploy troops in Ukraine.
This was announced in an interview with CNN by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
In addition, he said that NATO will send Russia a response to security proposals this week.
"We are finalizing work in NATO on proposals, a written document that we will send later this week. We will do this in parallel with the United States," Stoltenberg added.
Earlier, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said that Washington will continue to strengthen the eastern flank of NATO and is not going to leave the allies, whom the United States assured of support. She added that US President Joe Biden is confident in Russia's alleged ability to deploy military actions against Ukraine "at any moment."
