Moscow. January 24. INTERFAX - The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov forwarded to the Defense Ministry the question whether the Russian military exercises in the Baltic are a reaction to NATO's decision to transfer additional forces to Eastern Europe, but noted that the activity of the alliance near the borders of Russia cannot be ignored by the armed forces of the country.
"This should be asked at the Ministry of Defense," he said, answering the relevant question.
At the same time, the Kremlin representative stressed that "such NATO actions and increased activity near our borders cannot be ignored by our military, who are responsible for the security of our country."
