The troops of the Eastern Military District with weapons and military equipment continue to arrive on the territory of the Republic of Belarus to undergo exercises. This was announced on Monday, January 24, by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the defense Department, logistics units have already loaded weapons onto train platforms in the Amur Region and set off for the republic.
"The servicemen involved in the inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State will have to perform a number of training tasks at unfamiliar training grounds of the Republic of Belarus," the ministry said.
The training check of the military forces will take place in two stages, the press service of the department reported. At the first stage, until February 9, groups of troops will be relocated to the territory of Belarus and will guard important state and military facilities, the state border in the airspace and a number of other tasks.
During the second stage of the inspection, from February 10 to 20, the forces of Belarus and Russia will conduct a joint exercise "Allied Resolve-2022", within which they will work out tactics for suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism.
The practical actions of the troops (forces) will take place at the ranges "Domanovsky", "Gozhsky", "Obuz-Lesnovsky", "Brest" and "Osipovichsky", as well as certain areas of the terrain located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
It is planned to use the airfields "Baranovichi", "Luninets", "Lida" and "Machulishchi".
Earlier on Saturday it was reported that multi-purpose Russian Su-35S fighters will arrive in Belarus as part of a check of the reaction forces of the Union State. It is noted that during the exercises, the crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces will work out flights to the maximum range, landing at the airfields of Belarus, as well as joint training with Belarusian specialists for repeated departures.
On January 18, units from the Russian Armed Forces began arriving in Belarus as part of the inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State.
The joint exercises of the Russian Federation and Belarus "Allied Resolve - 2022" will be held from February 10 to 20. Practical actions of the troops will take place at the Domanovsky, Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Osipovichi and Brest ranges.
