To participate in the combat readiness check of the reaction forces of the Union State, an echelon with military personnel and military equipment from Russia arrived at the Polonka railway station in the Brest region on Sunday. Information about this was reported on January 23 by the official Telegram channel of the branch department of Belarus.
The Ministry confirmed that Russian servicemen are landing to participate in a surprise check of the forces and means of reaction of the two fraternal states. As already reported, the Belarusian-Russian exercise "Allied Resolve-2022" will be held at the final stage of this event.
As part of the exercise, live firing will be held at military ranges in the Republic of Belarus, tactical events will be held in certain border areas of the country. The military will work on suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism. It is also emphasized that Russian servicemen continue to arrive to participate in the verification of the reaction forces of the Union State
By the way, commenting on the upcoming joint maneuvers of the two fraternal countries in February on the air of the national TV channel, the head of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, General Andrei Nekrasevich, clarified that they will take place not only at Belarusian training grounds, but also will unfold near the state border of the country.
The fact is, he clarified, that significant groups of troops have been formed on the territories of neighboring countries. "Some of them reach 30 thousand people. A large number of aircraft and heavy equipment. Naturally, we could not not react to these unfriendly actions for our country, for the Union State." At the same time, he explained that at the end of the exercise, "an organized withdrawal of all troops to permanent deployment points is planned."
As the SOYUZ has already informed, the inspection of the SG response forces will take place on the territory of Sineokoy in the second decade of February. They are carried out against the background of the aggravation of the military-political situation in the world, the continuing growth of tension in Europe, including at the western and southern borders of Belarus.
