Washington. January 23. INTERFAX - Russia's policy towards Ukraine has become the main topic of discussion at a meeting of US President Joe Biden with members of the National Security Council (NSC), the White House said.
"Today, President Biden met with members of his national security team in a virtual format and in person to discuss Russia's ongoing aggressive actions against Ukraine," the statement said.
It notes that the participants of the meeting informed Biden about "Russian military operations" on the borders with Ukraine, discussed both efforts to de-escalate the situation by diplomatic means, as well as "a range of deterrence measures in close coordination with allies and partners, including the continuation of aid supplies to ensure Ukraine's security."
