MOSCOW, January 22/ Sputnik Radio. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan the situation in Karabakh and the progress of negotiations with the United States on security guarantees, the Kremlin's press service reported .
"The practical aspects of the implementation of the agreements recorded in the trilateral statements of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, including issues related to the delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, were considered. The expediency of continuing work through the OSCE Minsk Group Co–Chairs (Russia, USA, France) was noted," the published commentary says.
During the conversation, the prospects for further cooperation between the countries within the framework of the CSTO were also touched upon.
At Pashinyan's request, Putin briefed the Armenian Prime Minister on the progress of negotiations with the United States and its allies on security guarantees.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Kazakhstan with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
