Kiev. January 18. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishina stated the importance of further dialogue between Ukraine and NATO during a meeting with the appointed head of the representative office Karen McTeer, the press service of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister reported.
"Our common goal is to use all possible means to effectively counter security threats in the region. Further expansion of Ukraine-NATO cooperation in this case can become not only the key to strengthening Ukraine's defense capability, but also significantly strengthen the security of allies," the press service quotes Stefanishina as saying.
As noted, the participants discussed ways to strengthen coordination in the face of growing security threats.
Stefanishina noted that Ukraine highly appreciates the support of NATO, at the same time stressed that even in conditions of serious security threats, it is important not to lose focus on the reform agenda. The participants pointed out the importance of joint communication of the implementation of the Annual National Program.
