President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard a report on the plan of joint operational exercises of the armed forces with Russia, and also criticized the United States for deploying a military contingent near the Belarusian borders.
This is reported by BelTA.
According to him, there are more than 30 thousand military personnel, as well as other weapons and equipment on the territory of the Baltic republics and Poland. Some "hotheads", the president notes, are already openly calling for war.
"What should Americans do here? Why reproach us, Russia, that we are conducting some kind of maneuvers, exercises, and so on, if you have come here from far away? What are you going to do here?", - Lukashenka said.
The Head of State recalled that Warsaw had asked the NATO leadership to deploy a multi-layered logistics and technical support system in the region.
"As military people, we immediately ask the question: why?" the Belarusian leader stressed.
