Washington. January 16. INTERFAX - Russia insists on concrete responses from the West to its proposals on security guarantees in connection with the growing tension around Ukraine, said the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
"The tension on the border with Ukraine is too high, it is too high in this part of Europe, which creates big problems and creates dangers for the continent," he said in an interview with CNN.
"In this regard, we insist on a concrete and direct response to our concerns," Peskov added.
He said that the accusations against Russia that its actions are the cause of tension in the area of the border with Ukraine are unsubstantiated, adding: "We are still waiting for the presentation of these proofs."
Peskov noted that Russia is not involved in the recent hacker attacks on government departments of Ukraine.
"We have nothing to do with this. And Russia has nothing to do with these cyber attacks. We have heard accusations against Russia... there was no evidence presented, and we consider this a continuation of another unproven accusation against Russia," he said.
