Washington. January 15th. INTERFAX - US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington and the North Atlantic Alliance are ready to continue dialogue with Russia.
"The US and NATO are ready for further dialogue with Russia," the diplomat tweeted.
He noted that he "was pleased to talk with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg following the meeting of the NATO-Russia Council this week."
Following Blinken's tweet, the State Department distributed a message about the conversation between the Secretary of State and Stoltenberg, noting that the parties had contacted "to discuss further steps after the meeting of the Russia-NATO Council."
"The United States and NATO are ready to meet with Russia again, they are committed to continuing diplomacy and mutual dialogue. The United States and its NATO allies are united in choosing a diplomatic path forward and call on the Russian Federation to take immediate action to de-escalate its ongoing aggression against Ukraine," the State Department stressed.
