Moscow. January 14th. INTERFAX - The Collective Security Treaty Organization will conduct three stages of the operation to combat drug trafficking near the border with Afghanistan this year, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said.
"We have a whole range of activities planned for this year in various areas - military security, the fight against terrorism, including real operations. These are measures to combat drug trafficking. The topic is becoming particularly relevant in connection with the recent events in Afghanistan. We are planning three stages of one operation to combat drug trafficking there," Zas said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel (VGTRK) on Friday.
According to him, "a whole range of tasks" will be implemented in 2022.
