Moscow. January 14th. INTERFAX - Russia will act in the interests of its security if its proposals on security guarantees are rejected by the United States and NATO, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"If our proposals are rejected, when will this happen... If this happens - I will be less pessimistic - we will, of course, assess the situation, report to the president, he said at a large press conference that then we will make a decision taking into account all factors, first of all, in the interests of reliably ensuring our security interests," Lavrov said at a press conference on Friday.
"I will not speculate about how our colleagues in the West are trying to do this now, I consider it counterproductive. It is important for us to get a concrete answer or counter-proposals, if you want," the minister said.
