The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, proposed to return control over the circulation of weapons and ammunition to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (now the powers of the Rosgvardiya - ed.). Interdepartmental discussions on this initiative have already begun, RIA Novosti writes.
The UK stated that control over the circulation and use of civilian weapons should be tightened so that there are fewer tragedies with victims.
Recall that in May last year in Kazan, Ilnaz Galyaviev entered the building of gymnasium No. 147, detonated an improvised explosive device, and then opened fire. 7 minors and two adults were killed.
Four months later, in Perm, Timur Bekmansurov opened fire with a rifle at a local state university. Six people became victims of the attacker.
"In connection with a number of high-profile incidents, the Investigative Committee made a proposal to restore the procedure for the internal affairs bodies to exercise control functions over the circulation of weapons and ammunition," Bastrykin said.
