Washington. November 8th. INTERFAX - U.S. representatives at talks with Russia plan to propose discussing the deployment of missiles and the scale of exercises in Europe, The Washington Post wrote on Saturday, citing sources familiar with these plans.
"US negotiators plan to appear at talks with Russian partners on Monday with proposals concerning the discussion of the deployment of missiles and the scale of military exercises in Europe," the newspaper writes.
In addition, according to the publication, "The White House expects to find out whether Moscow is serious about ending the crisis in Ukraine through diplomacy, or will put forward impossible demands as a delaying tactic."
"Our intention is to have an open, sincere and serious dialogue on security in Europe with the Russians at the negotiating table. We want to be inclusive, we don't want to jump over anyone's heads," The Washington Post quotes the words of the US representative to the OSCE, Michael Carpenter. - We want them to be able to express all their concerns at the negotiating table. But we reserve the right to state all our concerns as well."
