Elon Musk's fortune increased by $30 billion after the publication of annual Tesla sales data

New York. January 4th. INTERFAX - The state of the head of Tesla (SPB: TSLA) Inc. Elon Musk increased by $33.8 billion on Monday, after the company published data on record deliveries of electric vehicles in 2021.

Musk's fortune, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, is $304.2 billion. Musk ranks first in the list of the richest people in the world. The state of the founder in second place Amazon.com Jeff Bezos is valued at $196 billion.

Last Sunday, Tesla announced that in 2021 it increased the supply of electric vehicles by 87%, to 936 thousand units. The result exceeded both the consensus forecast of experts surveyed by FactSet at the level of 897 thousand, and Tesla's own expectations, which planned to increase deliveries by 50%.

Tesla shares soared in price by 13.5%, to $ 1,199.78 at the end of trading on Monday. The company's capitalization is $1.06 trillion, and Musk owns about 18% of its shares. Musk also owns a stake in the aerospace company SpaceX, and his fortune reached $340 billion last year.

Tesla securities are losing 0.2% in price at the preliminary auction on Tuesday.
