MOSCOW, January 3 - RIA Novosti. In the summer of 2022, Russians will be banned from storing decommissioned weapons at home without the knowledge of the Rosgvardiya, the corresponding amendments to the federal law "On Weapons" will come into force on June 29, 2022.
According to Russian legislation, a decommissioned weapon is a firearm modified so that it cannot be fired with cartridges.
"It is forbidden... storage of decommissioned weapons by citizens and legal entities (with the exception of state paramilitary organizations) without notification of this in accordance with this federal law, the federal executive authority authorized in the field of arms trafficking," the document says.
In addition, the storage of weapons by legal entities, in addition to state paramilitary organizations, in premises without a security alarm system with the output to the security panel of organizations that have the right to guard such premises, fell under the ban.
