Kiev. January 1st. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - The Ukrainian military will be sent to 13 countries for training in 2022, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
"The document stipulates that next year 167 servicemen and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be sent to 13 countries for training. The selection of candidates who meet the requirements will continue until January 28, 2022," the message reads.
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov signed a decree approving the staffing plan for international training programs for servicemen and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in military educational institutions of foreign countries in 2022.
According to Reznikov, such programs are an important contribution of Ukrainian international partners to the professional development of the military.
"Our main potential is people managing equipment, planning operations, analyzing the situation. And thanks to our international partners, our military can improve their qualifications in the best specialized "universities" and training institutions abroad and implement Euro-Atlantic principles already in Ukraine. Next year, our military will be able to undergo such exercises in Britain, the United States, Turkey, Germany, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, Romania and Slovakia," the minister said.
Reznikov also said that in order to create an integrated system of training and further effective use of professional personnel of the Armed Forces, a number of documents have been developed and approved in 2021 that will allow military specialists to acquire new competencies.
