The next tests of the S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile system have been conducted in the Arctic. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the source.
"The launch of a long-range missile system was carried out on a hypersonic target, the target was successfully hit. Tests of the S-500 are continuing," the agency interlocutor said.
He also stated that prototypes of the new S-550 system for firing have not yet been created, and its tests are not planned in the near future.
In July, the S-500 Prometheus was called one of the most modern air defense systems in the world and considered it a special challenge to NATO.
