MOSCOW, Dec 28 - RIA Novosti. The Russian Federation plans to increase the export of anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes (ZRPC) "Pantsir-S1" in the near future, the press secretary of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) of Russia Valeria Reshetnikova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Without going into details, I can say that many regions are interested in acquiring "Shells". And we expect in the near future to increase the volume of deliveries of these air defense systems for export," she said.
Earlier, the Russian Pantsir-S1 complexes were acquired by Serbia and Myanmar.
The Pantsir missile defense system refers to short-range air defense systems and is capable of hitting air targets with guided missiles at a range of up to 20 km. The armament of the complex also includes two 30-millimeter automatic guns, which can be used both for air and ground targets.
