Cosmonaut Novitsky: I would like to fly on Crew Dragon
Cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, who two months ago returned from his third space flight to the International Space Station (ISS), appreciated the benefits of cross-missions of Russians and Americans on their own spacecraft. He told about this in an interview published in the final issue of the Russian Cosmos magazine for 2021.
"Of course, I would like to fly on Dragon to see the technical solutions of the partners, their capabilities. And the cross-exchange of the crew should be present in any case. It strengthens the team spirit," the cosmonaut said.
In his opinion, "you can't focus only on the development of your industry — you have to try to bring something interesting, useful and to the partner side."
In December, TASS with reference to the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, it was reported that Anna Kikina could be the first of the Russian cosmonauts to fly on the Crew Dragon ship. According to the head of the state corporation, this could happen as early as 2022. The head of Roscosmos stressed that the relevant decision has already been made.
