Moscow. December 27. INTERFAX - The Ground Forces (SV) will take part in 10 international exercises next year, four of them will be held on the territory of Russia, SV Commander-in-chief Oleg Salyukov said on Monday.
"Next year, 10 joint international exercises are planned with the armed forces of 9 foreign countries: Egypt, Pakistan, Algeria, Laos, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and India," Salyukov said in an interview with the departmental newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.
According to him, four exercises will be held on the territory of Russia: the Russian-Indian interspecific Indra-2022, the Russian-Mongolian Selenga-2022, the Russian-Egyptian Arrow of Friendship - 2022, and the Russian-Vietnamese exercise.
"There are 6 exercises on the territory of foreign states: the Russian-Algerian exercise, the Russian-Lankan exercise, the Russian-Lao exercise Laros-2022, the Russian-Pakistani exercise Druzhba-2022, the exercise with the units of the CSTO (collective Rapid Deployment Forces) Rubezh-2022, the exercise with peacekeeping forces," Salyukov said.
