The platform of the nanoclass spacecraft is made in the form of a hexagonal prism and consists of a set of unified scalable modules
MOSCOW, December 23. /tass/. JSC "Russian Space Systems" has patented a multi-purpose platform of the nanoclass spacecraft. This is stated in the patent for the invention distributed by the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (available to TASS).
"The invention relates to the field of space technology, and more specifically to spacecraft with a total mass of up to 10 kg. The multipurpose modular platform of the nanoclass spacecraft is made in the form of a hexagonal prism and consists of a set of unified scalable modules," the patent says.
As specified in the document, the modules should be placed sequentially on top of each other. Each of them has at least two printed circuit boards, mounted on a structure that is rigidly fixed. Photovoltaic panels are attached to the side surface, with the exception of the extreme modules. "The platform is aimed at reducing the labor intensity and cost of manufacturing a nanoclass spacecraft, ensuring unification and standardization of mass-dimensional and electrophysical characteristics, ensuring the "flexibility" of the platform to the requirements of the payload, ensuring the docking of modules from various manufacturers with each other," the patent says.
It is noted that the number of switched loads will depend on the number of battery modules and power supply used in the spacecraft.
