Russian RPG-30 "Hook" rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade launchers were shown at an exhibition demonstrating the combat arsenal of the Vietnamese People's Army. On one of the stands, among other ammunition, there was a 105-mm shot and a small-sized rocket-a target simulator.
The latter serves to disorient active protection complexes located on various armored vehicles. It is fired a little earlier and triggers the KAZ element.
At the same time, a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle or an armored personnel carrier are attacked by a main grenade having a double cumulative warhead and capable of overcoming the so-called "reactive armor".
The mass of the RPG is 10.3 kg, the length is more than 1130 mm, the initial speed of the grenade is 120 meters per second. The range of a direct shot is 200 meters.
It was also reported about the continuation of licensed production in Vietnam of another powerful anti-tank weapon - RPG-29 "Vampire".
It received the local designation SCT-29 and is capable of hitting enemy main battle tanks at distances up to half a kilometer.
The defense enterprises of this state continue to manufacture and well-proven RPG-7 (SCT-7) even during the years of repelling American aggression. They received new tandem ammunition and bipods, like the Chinese Type 69 grenade launcher.
