As it became known on December 20, 2021, Honored Indian ScientistAtul Dinkar Rane has been appointed the new CEO of the Russian-Indian joint venture BrahMos Aerospace, engaged in the development and production of supersonic missiles.

Atul Dinkar Rane worked for several decades in the Indian State Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and made a significant contribution to the creation of Indian samples of avionics, in particular onboard computers, as well as to the development of methods for testing hardware and software for Indian weapons and military equipment. He participated in the development programs of the BrahMos PJ-10 supersonic cruise anti-ship missile, the Agni-I ballistic missile, the Akash medium-range anti-aircraft missile system and other systems.
As an employee of the Indian Embassy in Moscow, Mr. Rane dealt with issues of technological cooperation between the two countries and actively promoted joint projects.
